Where the Foothills Meet Forever: Elisa & Eric’s Colorado Wedding

Photography by @nicholascrandallphoto

With the Denver skyline shimmering in the distance and golden prairie grass swaying in the September breeze, Elisa and Eric said their vows at The Manor House in Littleton, Colorado. A day that felt as wide-open and breathtaking as the landscape itself.

Morning Light & Matching Shirts

The morning of September 28th began with the kind of soft, unhurried joy that only a bridal suite full of best friends can create. Elisa’s bridesmaids gathered in pastel button-downs. Each one monogrammed with her bridesmaid’s name in deep burgundy script. A sweet, personal touch that set the tone for the entire day. Susanna, Krista, Mikaela, Grace, and Anna stood shoulder to shoulder, a living rainbow of mint, sky blue, blush pink, lavender, and buttercream.

Behind them, deep emerald bridesmaid gowns hung in a perfectly imperfect row — the wedding palette already announcing itself. The bridal suite at The Manor House made every getting-ready photo feel like a page torn from a Sunday morning dream.

The Details That Tell the Story

Styled with intention, Elisa’s flat lay captured the full world of the wedding in miniature. The formal invitation suite in ivory and forest green, a program for the 5 o’clock ceremony at The Manor House, and a delicate ring dish. Scattered among them — crimson bougainvillea petals, a rollerball of Chloé perfume, pearl drop earrings, and Badgley Mischka heels with just enough sparkle. Every piece a clue. Every piece chosen.

The First Look That Stopped Time

With the Colorado foothills rolling endlessly behind them, Elisa walked toward Eric for their first look in a wide meadow that felt as though it had been waiting exactly for this moment. Her strapless ballgown trailed behind her over the wild grass, its chapel-length veil catching the overcast light like a sail. Eric turned, and the smile that broke across his face said everything.

In the quiet moments that followed, they stood forehead-to-forehead, laughing and half-crying, completely unaware of anything beyond each other. Elisa’s joy — unguarded and radiant — is the kind that stops a photographer in their tracks.

She walked through tall grass in a billowing gown and a cathedral veil — and he couldn’t stop smiling.

A Bride in Her Element

Alone with the photographer for a few stolen minutes, Elisa turned toward the gardens with her bouquet. A stunning, textural arrangement of green anthurium, oxblood amaranthus, and moody burgundy blooms from The Flower Lover Club. Her veil billowed behind her in a frame-filling cascade as the wind turned it into something wild and free. It was bridal portraiture at its most elemental.

The Ceremony

The ceremony site at The Manor House is one of the most dramatic in all of Colorado. An outdoor terrace opens to a panoramic view framed by a canyon gap in the foothills and through that gap, the entire Denver skyline. Two white floral columns stood sentinel at the altar, dressed in cascading white hydrangeas and trailing burgundy amaranthus. They echoed the prairie palette of golden grass and dark skies. Ponderosa Strings set the emotional temperature with live music that floated out over the rolling hills.

At 5 o’clock, Elisa walked down the aisle to Eric, and everything else fell away. Their first kiss as husband and wife, framed by those floral towers, was the kind of image that gets printed large and hung above a fireplace.

Pure Joy, Pure Colorado

The recessional was everything. The wedding party flooded the hillside, raising bouquets and cheering as Elisa and Eric walked through a tunnel of their people. Veil streaming, hands clasped, both of them laughing with the uninhibited abandon of people who have just done something they’ll never forget. The photographs from this moment — golden-hour light cutting through the hills, everyone delirious with happiness — are simply stunning.

Golden Hour in the Foothills

As the light dropped low and warm over the mountains, Elisa and Eric slipped away for portraits. Back-to-back against the sprawling hills, her veil and train pooling into the grass, they looked like they belonged to this landscape. Or maybe the landscape belonged to them.

Into the Evening

The reception was sophisticated and warm. Intimate table lamps glowing on deep emerald green linens, white chiavari chairs, and centerpieces that ranged from delicate single-stem calla lilies to lush, dramatic arrangements of white hydrangeas, chocolate cosmos, and trailing amaranthus. The effect was a room that felt like a very elegant dinner party, the kind you never want to leave.

Elisa, her veil now traded for a simple white neck scarf, leaned into Eric at the sweetheart table while toasts were given. He listened, quiet and steady. She rested her head on his shoulder. It’s in these unguarded in-between moments that the truest love lives.

Earlier in the evening the two had settled into a dark leather sofa against the moody wood-paneled walls. He in his black tuxedo, she in a white silk slip dress. Both Eric and Elisa looking right into the camera, happy and a little bit like they couldn’t believe the day was real.

Elisa and Eric — congratulations. Your day was as beautiful, grounded, and full of life as you are. Here’s to a lifetime of Colorado sunsets, laughter that comes easily, and love that never stops showing up.
