The Night They Felt Most Alive — A Summer Wedding at Misselwood

Some weddings you look at and just feel something. This is one of them.

Set on the grounds of Misselwood at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop for literally every single moment — this summer wedding is the kind that reminds you why you fell in love with love in the first place.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was set in a sweeping semicircle on the lawn, right at the water’s edge. The kind of setup where guests can feel the breeze coming off the ocean and the couple can hear the waves while they say their vows. One of our favorite photos from the whole day? The ceremony shot through the French doors of the house — the ocean, the hedges, the guests, all framed perfectly like a painting. Zhaun Frias Photography saw that moment and we’re so glad he did.

Inside, the morning was full of the best kind of chaos. Family gathered around to button the dress. Veil draped over a chair in a pool of morning light. Jimmy Choos and Cartier rings laid out on marble like they belonged in a magazine. And then a quiet moment — her standing at the window with the ocean behind her, lifting her veil into the light. That photo says everything.

The Reception

The florals by Amuse Floral Co. were soft, lush, and perfectly coastal — green hydrangea runners down long white tables under a draped tent with fairy lights. Ghost chairs. Candlelight. The kind of reception that feels like summer in New England at its absolute best.

And then golden hour. The two of them out on the rocks at the water’s edge, the sky doing exactly what you’d hope it would. It’s the photo you frame and put on the wall and look at every single day.

This wedding had everything — the setting, the details, the emotion, the people. But more than anything, it had that feeling. The one Zhaun talks about on his website — the night they felt most alive. You can see it in every single frame.
