A Garden-Inspired Wedding at The Black Barn at Stone Creek
Every couple planning a wedding eventually hits the same question: how do you find a florist whose work feels personal, not pulled from a template? For couples getting married in the Kansas City area, one name worth knowing is Keisha of The Wandering Rose.
This wedding at The Black Barn at Stone Creek is a beautiful example of her work — a moody, garden-inspired celebration with custom florals threaded through every part of the day.

Meet Keisha of The Wandering Rose — A Kansas City Wedding Florist
Keisha is the owner and designer behind The Wandering Rose. Her path into floral design started with freelancing for other florists in the Kansas City area, and what began as side work grew into her own career and passion.
In her own words, she doesn’t just enjoy designing — she loves getting to know each of her clients. That relationship is the foundation of how she approaches every wedding. Her arrangements are tailored to reflect each client’s style, personality, and vision, with personalized touches built into every piece she creates.
For couples searching for a Kansas City wedding florist who designs around the people getting married, this is who you call.

Custom Wedding Florals at The Black Barn at Stone Creek
The Black Barn at Stone Creek is one of the most distinctive wedding venues in the Kansas City area, with dark wood exterior, dramatic barn architecture, open beams overhead. It’s a space that asks florals to hold their own against the structure rather than disappear into it.
The ceremony installation featured tall white floral arrangements framing the barn doors, anchoring the couple against the dark wood. White garden roses, anemones, and trailing greenery arranged to read from a distance while still feeling soft and natural up close.
The tablescape carried the same garden energy. A hanging greenery installation ran the length of the head table, with eucalyptus and trailing vines cascading toward the place settings. Below, a continuous low arrangement of white florals and mixed greenery creates a tablescape that feels like it had been set inside a garden.
The bridal bouquet was designed in a soft cascade shape — garden roses, anemones, ranunculus, and trailing greenery. Designed to complement the lace sleeves of the bride’s gown.
This is what custom wedding florals look like when each piece is designed for the couple.
