A Garden Meets Ranch Wedding In The Heart Of California
Some weddings feel like a perfect reflection of who a couple is, not just how they celebrate, but how they live. Savanna and Bo’s wedding was exactly that. Rooted in their shared love of rodeo life and softened with vibrant, garden-inspired florals, their day proved that a ranch wedding can be colorful, expressive, and entirely your own.

A Love Story That Started at the Rodeo
Savanna and Bo first crossed paths in the summer of 2020 at a rodeo in Kansas. Savanna still remembers telling a friend that very day, “I am going to marry that guy.” While their relationship began as a friendship, it wasn’t until 2024 that their connection turned romantic.
On May 11, 2025, Bo proposed at Point Lobos State Reserve in Monterey. A breathtaking setting that matched the quiet certainty of their relationship. Savanna said yes without hesitation.
As professional rodeo competitors, their lives are shaped by constant travel and weekend competitions. From the start, they knew a weekday wedding would allow them to celebrate without sacrificing their careers. More importantly, they wanted an intimate day, one centered on their closest family and friends.

Designing a Wedding Around Color, Movement, and Trust
From the beginning, Savanna knew florals would be at the heart of her wedding design. She’s always been drawn to wildflowers, vibrant palettes, and especially the color purple. When she and Bo reached out to their florist, Natalie from Wildly Designed — a trusted member of our Engaged Life community — there were only a few short months to bring the vision to life.
What made this design process so special was trust. Savanna gave her florist creative freedom, allowing intuition and artistry to guide the final result. Rather than rigid inspiration boards, the design evolved naturally — built around bold, expressive color and a sense of movement that felt organic to both the setting and the couple.

Purple became the anchor, layered with complementary hues that felt playful yet refined. The bouquet was finished with a soft silk-satin lavender ribbon, adding a romantic contrast to the untamed floral composition.
The result was a floral story that felt intentional, personal, and alive.

Garden Florals in a Ranch Setting
Savanna and Bo’s wedding is a beautiful reminder that your venue does not define your style — you do. While their celebration took place in a ranch setting, the florals leaned garden-forward: abundant, colorful, and expressive.
This balance created a look that felt both elevated and grounded. Lush arrangements softened the natural textures of the space, while the ranch backdrop gave the florals room to shine without feeling overly formal.
For couples who love bright color but are drawn to outdoor or ranch venues, this wedding offers reassurance: you don’t have to choose one aesthetic. A garden wedding with a hint of ranch can feel cohesive, elevated, and deeply personal.

A Day Guests Will Always Remember
On the wedding day, guests were immediately captivated by the florals and thoughtful details woven throughout the celebration. Every arrangement felt purposeful, every color intentional. The atmosphere was joyful, intimate, and a true reflection of Savanna and Bo’s story. A truly visually stunning day captured by The Turquoise Lens.
This wedding wasn’t about following trends. It was about honoring who they are, where they come from, and what they love.
