5. Hire Key Vendors: Secure high-priority vendors such as your wedding planner (if desired), photographer, videographer, and caterer. Many top-tier vendors book over a year in advance.

10-11 Months Before: Design and Details

1. Select a Theme and Color Palette: Decide on a theme or style, and create a mood board for inspiration. This helps align vendors with your vision.
2. Find Your Wedding Dress: Begin dress shopping early to account for fittings and alterations.
3. Book Entertainment: Secure a band, DJ, or other entertainment for your ceremony and reception. For special acts or unique performers, early booking is essential.

8-9 Months Before: Invitations and Attire

1. Order Save-the-Dates: Send out save-the-dates to give guests ample notice, especially if it’s a destination wedding.
